One day… or day one.
This is day one.
The 3 Year Project is a decision to stop waiting and start backing a dream that’s been sitting there for years. The idea is simple, even if the goal isn’t — play 100 gigs in three years and see how far showing up consistently can take us, with the long-shot hope of ending on the Glastonbury Stage in 2027.
This isn’t about overnight success or pretending there’s a master plan. It’s about turning up every day and building something slowly through music, community, and belief. One show at a time. One risk at a time.
There are no guarantees. Some nights will be magic. Some will be hard. All of it counts. This project exists to prove that it’s never too late to start, to try again, or to take yourself seriously.
If you’ve ever told yourself “one day,” this is your reminder that day one is always an option.
Come with us and see what three years of commitment can become.

The 3 Year Project sound is deeply rooted in the Britpop tradition, drawing inspiration from iconic bands like Oasis, Blur, and Pulp. Each track serves as a chapter in the soundtrack of our lives, telling personal stories with universal themes. We pour our hearts into our music, capturing the ups and downs of everyday life with raw emotion and honesty.
From big, anthemic choruses that bring back the ’90s spirit to deep, reflective ballads about love and loss, our songs really connect with people. We aim to create a sound that’s both nostalgic and new, with memorable guitar riffs, catchy melodies, and meaningful lyrics.
Whether it’s the joy of romance, the bittersweet memories of youth, or the strength found in overcoming challenges, our music reflects our experiences. We invite you to join us on this journey, sharing our stories and connecting with yours through the power of music.

Storm is a debut album, but it’s not a beginning, it’s been 25 years in the making.
These songs were written, rewritten, carried around, put down, and picked back up again across decades. They hold real stories — mental health struggles, love in all its forms, moments of collapse, moments of clarity, and the long road back to yourself. Nothing here was rushed. Every track earned its place.
Musically, Storm sits firmly in indie territory, with its roots tangled deep in late-’90s Manchester. You’ll hear the influence in the guitars, the melodies, and the way the songs are built to be felt in a room full of people. It moves from quiet, acoustic ballads that feel like confessions, to big, open-armed anthems made to be sung back at full volume.
This album isn’t chasing youth or pretending time hasn’t passed. It embraces it. Storm is about surviving your own weather, learning to live with the noise in your head, and still believing in love — for others, for music, and for yourself.
It’s an album for anyone who’s lived a bit, lost a bit, and kept going anyway.

A Collection of raw archive unmastered sessions
The Lost Tapes
Some albums are carefully planned. This one was forgotten.
For more than twenty years, these recordings sat in a box in my garage, collecting dust and memories. Some of these songs were only ever heard by me and my producer. These songs were recorded on the landing of a terrace house, or in my producers garage. There was no grand vision, no polished production, and certainly no thought that they would be released 20+ years later,
The songs on The Lost Tapes were recorded between the ages of 16 and 22. You can hear that youth in every track — the immature voice, the rough-edged lyrics, the ambition that often outweighed the experience. Some songs capture ideas, while others reveal the first sparks of material that would later evolve and find a home on Storm.
This collection isn’t a greatest hits album. It’s an archive. A snapshot of a young songwriter learning his craft in real time. It’s raw, unfiltered, and completely raw. There are moments experimentation, and, admittedly, a few fillers along the way. But that’s what makes it honest.
The Lost Tapes is for the true fans — those who want to hear where the journey began. It’s a time capsule of late nights, and youthful determination. Nostalgic, imperfect, and untouched by modern polish, this album is exactly what it claims to be: a collection of lost recordings rescued from the archives and finally given a chance to be heard.
Most people leave their teenage dreams behind. Sam Holden decided to chase his.
Growing up on a steady diet of Britpop, Sam spent his late teens writing songs inspired by the bands that made him believe anything was possible. Then life happened. The songs were packed away in a box, where they sat for almost 20 years while he built a career, raised a family, and lived the life so many of us do—putting our biggest dreams on hold.
But some dreams never stop calling.
Today, Sam is the songwriter and driving force behind 3 Year Project, a band born from a simple but powerful idea: it’s never too late to start. He’s proving that ambition isn’t reserved for the young, and that the best stories don’t always begin when you’re 20—they begin the moment you decide to stop wondering “what if?”
His vision is as bold as it is inspiring: perform 100 gigs in three years, build a movement around music, hope, and resilience, and earn a place on the legendary Glastonbury Stage in 2027. To some, it’s an impossible dream. To Sam, it’s proof that extraordinary things only happen when you’re willing to believe in something bigger than yourself.
Inspired by the timeless songwriting of Oasis, Blur, and Pulp, Sam writes songs that blend soaring melodies with honest, heartfelt lyrics. They’re songs about hope, love, regret, and refusing to give up—because he knows those emotions don’t belong to one generation. They belong to everyone who’s ever dreamed.
For Sam, 3 Year Project has never been about fame. It’s about permission.
Permission to dream again.
Permission to begin again.
Permission to believe that your greatest chapter might still be ahead of you.
If one person hears his story and decides to pick up the guitar they put down years ago, start the business they’ve always imagined, write the book they’ve never finished, or simply believe in themselves again, then the project has already succeeded.
Because the real message isn’t about reaching Glastonbury.
It’s about reminding people that the distance between an ordinary life and an extraordinary one is often a single decision: the courage to begin.
